I was honored to attend a Medal of Honor ceremonies back in 2013 for CPT (CH) Emil Kapaun for actions in November, 1950. Amazing opportunity. Not sure why or how, but I appreciate the number of them that have been pushed through in the last several years.
There are two ceremonies for each; the presentation at the White House and then the unveiling of a portrait to be displayed in the hall of Heroes at the Pentagon.
