    Fascinating. Had no idea that’s how the shackles worked.

    Their narration of mounting the fuses conflicts with how Caidin explained it in Flying Forts, wherein he wrote that the fuses installed and the bombs armed after being mounted in the aircraft. He also observed that sometimes they rolled the dice wrong, and the whole plane would be wrecked while arming the bombs.
