    If any of you are driving north on Hwy 99 around Merced, stop at the old Castle AFB museum – they have an excellent collection including a B36. Every bit as impressive as a B52.

    I was through Castle AFB about 1980 and saw the B29 they were restoring. My grandparents came through Fort Worth sometime in the 50s and stopped by Carswell AFB (where I was stationed for awhile) and got pictures of the B36s lined up. Very impressive pictures from an old Brownie camera.
