Range Report
Range was crowded, and it was unsafe to set up real targets at ranges beyond about 50 meters (and it really wasn’t safe to set up soda cans at 50 meters either- some ricochets from the next group of firers sounded a wee bit close).
Given that, and the windy conditions, zeroing wasn’t even attempted, and only enough rounds to essentially perform a function check were fired.12 gauge 5 rds 20 yds US .30cal M2 Ball 16 rds 50 yds Summary of rounds expended 11-13-2022

A very cool set of wheels
I live in a very nice, but middle class, neighborhood. Every kind of car from BMW and Benz’s, to pickups, and some lower end Japanese imports.
What we don’t normally see is a beautiful vintage Willy’s convertible.

SSG David Bellavia to be awarded Medal of Honor
SSG Bellavia's actions in the Battle of Fallujah, are well known, mostly via Dave's book, House to House. House to House is such an intense look, I had to keep putting it down. It took me a year to read the book.
SSG Bellavia was originally awarded the Silver Star for his actions that day. Which, even at the time I thought was a gross injustice. For some reason, during the Bush years, there was an absolute ban on even thinking of awarding the DSC or a Medal of Honor to a living recipient- I guess they were worried about a recipient later having conflicting opinions on the wars. But if ones actions merit the award, they merit the award, regardless of their stance on any issues.
I had a lot of issues with the Obama administration, but at least they were willing to award the MoH to people that were still alive.
SSG Bellavia will receive his award June 25th at the White House.
