    Not sure about that skid in the front. What about crosswind landing? You’d need differential braking to stay on runway centerline. Interesting that it’s the opposite of the X-15 which had skids for main gear and wheel on the nose.

    Differential braking takes place in the main gear, not the nose. I don’t see any advantage to using a skid in place of a roller, tho.
