This NTC rotation was the best two weeks I’ve ever had in the army, and I’m comparing it to 27 years of active duty. I’ve got to say my favorite shot is at about fifty seconds in. (How appropriate for a .50 cal….). Watching this sure makes my current duty at Carlisle Barracks suffer by comparison.
Not that I should criticize. I’m supposed to be working on a presentation on Hydrology and Hydraulics directed towards Land Surveyors. I know how it is. It’s great to have done, but not to do.
Are you striking for General?
General? Not even close. No desire and no prospects. I started as an enlisted puke; we don’t make general! Nor do we want to… Even if I wanted it, it’s not happening. All my jobs have been “real” jobs at the tactical level, down with real soldiers. At a certain point, that’s no longer of value to the army but only to me.
