    Surprised at the number of aircraft that continue to bother the tower on non-critical issues when they know there is an incident, the airport is closed and under the control of fire services.

    Yeah, some probably just forgetting what the hell is going on. Asking for pushback in the middle of raging fire on field and the field closed, a bit of a disconnect.
    But it not just them; seeing footage of the chaos as these semi-sentient cargo try to take their frabbing 300lbs of CARRYONS in the overhead with them while the bird could explode and incinerate the lot of them in seconds, truly makes you despair for humanity

    Just to be fair, or put it in perspective a little bit, the pilots in the cockpit are incredibly siloed when it comes to information.
    They may have no idea of the incident going on, they may have just switched to that frequency, they likely cannot see the accident because you can’t see very far around an airport when you’re at cockpit level.
    It’s very easy to be in the middle of a big incident and not know it, if you’re in one of those little aluminum thingies crawling around on the ground. Just saying.
