I’m tired.  Not just today. This whole election, and the last 7 and a half years of the Obama administration, have me feeling quite down. Serisously, it’s hard to write interesting things about the Army when the latest news isn’t what is happening in the war, or what new equipment and doctrine is coming, but…

This whole election, and the last 7 and a half years of the Obama administration, have me feeling quite down. Serisously, it’s hard to write interesting things about the Army when the latest news isn’t what is happening in the war, or what new equipment and doctrine is coming, but the implementation of how the services will pay for sex change operations.

So, yeah, you’re getting a lot of World of Warships videos, and other stuff I scrounge off YouTube.

Because frankly, it’s just too depressing to write about that other stuff.

S’alright. I feel your pain. I made the mistake of listening to the news on my way to work today. I am still pissed off.
On the good side, your Youtube scrounging ability far exceeds mine. Keep it up.

Ennui is a good word, not used very often.
Yes, trying times -sometimes physically, often and emotional roller coaster with the political/cultural challenges. I keep telling myself that I made it this far, I can keep going. I’m not hungry, I have a roof over my head that doesn’t leak, I have A/C and my car is reliable. Life has been not quite so good before, and may yet be again. Until then,…..
Your posts on the real Army are always enjoyed. Not an area that I know very well. I am still unable after all these decades to tell what some of the ranks are. E-x’s I can relate to, it is the others. Then it gets into specialists and I am really lost. It was only within the last year or so that a Special Forces friend told me about Be My Little General so that I could remember the relative GO ranks! Some Braniac I am. 🙂

I know what you mean, and I’m not even trying to put out regular articles for people. It’s soul sapping to watch the train wreck.

Same here. I come here to relax with your World of Warships videos.
Good stuff XBradTC, the world has become a crappier place, that’s for sure.

Much as, conceptually, the changes in the army bother me, they haven’t actually been visible to me in the last four years and hopefully not in he next job either. Unfortunately I left Germany without all my final-AAR unit videos set to 80s Rock, or I could give you some much cooler videos than you’ve been playing!

Don’t sell yourself short. One of my favorite features is when you discuss a process or a system, like the 4.2″ mortar, or ‘chute packing.
