URR here.  We awoke to the news of tragic events overnight.  A suspected islamic extremist, whose name is being withheld (as is the case with any muslim who commits murder in the name of his religion), entered the Orlando gay bar with a rifle, pistol, and suicide vest, and has killed a reported twenty people, and wounded 40-odd others, according to reports.   There is, of course, the admonition that police are pursuing many leads, don't know the motive, et cetera.   The truth is that they knew everything they needed to know about the shooter and his motive within the hour of identifying him, and could likely guess that motive well inside of that.  

Which brings us to the manner in which this act of Islamic Terrorism will be portrayed.  It is a sad fact that, in this age of a beholden and complicit press, official statements and media stories have to be scoured for the truth, certain phrases and omissions contained in a larger statist far-left propaganda screed.  Five hours after the end of the incident, media reports did not have a shooter's name.  What was mentioned several times and several stories, was that the shooter had an "assault rifle".  In counting the first four stories I read on the subject, "assault rifle" was mentioned more than "suicide vest", which the shooter was wearing.   Also absent from such a juicy victim-group story was the characterization of "hate crime".  (This rather unconstitutional concept is the most popular cudgel used by the media and far-left zealots to figuratively beat any opposition to their progressive "anything goes" approach to fracturing our society.)  And the fact that, one good person with a pistol, trained in its use, might have greatly truncated the scale of the tragedy and limited the innocent lives lost.

No shooter identified?  Claims of unclear motive?  "Domestic terrorism" rather than "hate crime"?  Little question who was responsible.  The questions that remain have nothing to do with motive or identity.  They are issues of whether or not the shooter acted alone, and was the shooter a US citizen or an immigrant/refugee who was legal to be here.  

Since, however, it is impermissible for the far-left to even CONSIDER that radical muslims would murder gays here or anywhere (despite hundreds and thousands of examples just in the last few months), we will not hear about how the virulent hatred that is part and parcel of radical islam is at all problem.  Nosiree.   Instead, we will be lectured on the need for ever more gun control by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  Both of whom are from the party in which the Platform  Committee contains a member who believes in the complete outlawing of private firearms ownership.   Those who would claim that "nobody is coming for your guns/calling for guns to be outlawed", at this point, are either irretrievably stupid or willfully blind.  Not that there is much to delineate between the two conditions.  

We will also be lectured incessantly by Obama and Clinton and Hollywood and the mainstream media about "homophobia", as if we are the ones burning gays in cages, throwing them off buildings, hanging them from cranes, crushing them under tanks, etc.   Our failure to completely "accept" every last urge or notion of LGBT behavior will be considered a hateful and dangerous "microaggression" equivalent to the murder perpetrated in Orlando.   The Attorney General is likely to inform us that such "microagression" will be be prosecutable, as free speech does not actually encompass the freedom to speak.  And, all the while, those same mouthpieces will neglect to mention the shooter, his motivation, or his religion.  

 The terrible and tragic irony of all this is that the people who will be demonized, the ones who will be targeted for "gun control", are the ones that would fight to the death, literally, for the rights of the victims killed in Orlando last night.  Even if they disagreed with the lifestyle and the behavior of the LGBT community.  Because those people who would protect the rights of others with their own lives are despised by those who head our government.

UPDATE:  I see that the name of the shooter has finally been released.  Omar Mateen, a US citizen born of Afghan parents.  And, to nobody's surprise, they are "investigating" links to radical islamic terrorists.  And, sadly, the count of dead in the incident is now being put at fifty.   While mentioning before any of that, "assault rifle".  

Oh, and it is reported that Omar Mateen was a licensed security officer, and a Democrat.

PAY ATTENTION.  Our sworn enemies, whom our President abjectly refuses to identify, are coming to our cities, and radicalizing American muslims, to kill us.  

Our government's push is not to keep our enemies out.  It is, instead, to disarm us and leave us defenseless against them.  And our government.
