Formal Colleges and Universities are becoming increasingly unnecessary. At the rate their costs are escalating they will price themselves out of the market in a generation.
Here are two thoughts: 1) Eliminate H1b visas. Any company that has positions which they are unable to fill due to lack of training in the general labor market, shall be required to either train their existing employees or other American citizens (preferably military veterans) for those positions and their own expense and pay market labor rates to the employees. How many new F/A-18 pilots are out there in the labor market? The only thing we should be sending overseas are worthless corporate executives (most of whom obtained their positions without any training whatsoever).
And here’s a thought for Bernie: 2) Confiscate University endowments. They are never tapped to hold down costs, they merely accumulate tax-free. Bernie should declare the endowments obtained under fraudulent circumstances and confiscate all of the dough for back Federal taxes. He can transfer the money to the Federal Student Loan program to bail out all of his supporters. Before you decide that this would be futile, look at the possibility that it will lead to the demise of the very institutions that foist Marxist Anti-American bilge on the youth of the nation.
One of the attributes of the greatness of men such as Lincoln was that they were mostly self taught. Any man capable of such an achievement would never come to the conclusion that the leftist progressive excrement popular in today’s temples of higher education is nothing more than meaningless political clap-trap with the ulterior motive of destroying the country.
