    Pick up a Hertz car at Logan airport and see if you can get on the Mass Pike going west. I can do it, but that’s because I learned to drive in NYC.

    Drove through a couple of times pre-Big Dig. Thought having driven through DFW, Houston that I could handle it. I was wrong AND horrified and I’m no shrinking violet!!

    It ain’t just Boston, it’s the whole dam state.

    I went to traffic court one time in Worcester, and stayed around to watch the show. Amazing. Registration and/or plates? Nah. License? Nah. Insurance? Hell nah! The statistics l have read said one third of Mass. drivers were uninsured (a couple of decades ago, but doubt changed).

    Yield? Not in the vocabulary.

    There are a lot of things I miss about living in Mass., but the traffic ain’t one of them.
