Imagine what we could do with this stuff if we still had tenders. I think there’s only one left in Diego Garcia and its a submarine tender. Face it, today’s sailor isn’t trained to fix much besides his predilection to rape women.

Two tenders, Frank Cable and Emory S Land, in Guam and Diego. The Repair departments are staffed by sailors, who are trained in repairs. The big problem is that a lot of the shore side repair billets have been eliminated in favor of civilians, so most of the training occurs during the sea tours.
