    I was driving home with my wife one day back in the 70s lighting struck a tree about 150 yards from us. We got some tingles from the plasma and it scared both of us quite badly.

    Friend and I were driving home from Gainesville, Fl though the Ocala National Force (a zillion pine trees) when we got caught in a bad storm with more lightning that I ever want to see again. Lighting was hitting all around us like artillery and when it hit the pine trees the sap would superheat and make the tree go boom. Dumb as we were at that age, instead of stopping till the storm outran us, we just drove and drove and drove. Had to clean the seats, we did
