    You know, it’s funny, but I don’t even like seeing that GIF. I know it’s not a real animal, but it moves so much like a real dog that I feel bad for it, and I know that if I saw someone kick my dog like that, that’d be the last time they ever had the use of their legs.

    Completely agreed, in both senses. Looks like the domestication of the dog happened so far ago that appreciation for dogs somehow got welded into the DNA of those who survived to become the Cro-Magnon.

    Agreed, hope that robot goes for the leg, you see that side-long look he was giving the guy at the end? He was measuring the distance to the hamstring.

    Given that it will be a very long time (if ever) that thing gets used in the field, I suggest we use it for morale purposes. If a troop has had a bad day, kick the robo-mule.

    My first response was to want to kick the crap out of that guy for abusing a critter. Weird. Does that mean I harbor unnatural affections for machinery? Other than “replicants” like Rachael, I mean. That’s perfectly natural.
