Everybody knows about the A-10 Warthog. And most of you know the A-10 was the winner of the A-X competition over the Northrop YA-9. Here’s a little video showing some of the fly-off competition, with handling, weapon separation, gunnery, and formation testing.

    FYI all – the (only?) remaining A-9 is located at the March Air Reserve Base museum located in Riverside, CA. Until I went there a few years ago, didn’t even know this plane existed. The museum is worth a side trip if you’re in the area. There’s also a war dog memorial there…
