    O-2 Cessna Skymaster configured for the Calif. Dept. of Forestry (CDF) – one of about 20 military surplus aircraft that CDF used for about 20 years.

    Ah, it’s the wing of an OV-10 Bronco used by the California Deparment of Forestry & Fire Protection as an aerial spotter/tanker organizer.

    Not bad, Old Pirate. But…

    I couldn’t get a very good look at the actual aircraft itself, but I’m “fairly” certain it was a Cessna 337, and NOT an O-2. Spinners on the prop, and couldn’t spot any windows on the lower portion of the fuselage door.
