Replace the long ammo expending tube with an auger or a bucket and you have the perfect Engineers vehicle.
Driver’s seat is probably more comfortable too.

Yeah, the Army has looked several times at making an Engineer’s version of the M-1, but there are never enough M-1s in the fleet, and the conversion costs too much.
